césar has been a popular and beloved institution in the bay area ever since it opened its doors in 1998 next door to the iconic restaurant chez panisse. it is fitting then, that an alum of chez panisse should open a restaurant down the road from chino farm, where the farm-to-table bond originated. with this wonderful location, césar has come to rancho santa fe to share its unique offerings on classic spanish tapas with the community. césar is dedicated to a menu of traditional and contemporary spanish tapas that incorporate authentic ingredients from spain combined with the best of california’s produce, meat, poultry and seafood. complementing the tapas is a thoughtful selection of wines, sherries, and spirits, and a cocktail list that reflects classic mixology coupled with innovative new spirits, bitters, and liqueurs from around the world.
